From Monday, local quarantine will be announced in Elektrėnai, Joniškis district, Jurbarkas district, Kelmė district, Klaipėda district, Kretinga district, Marijampolė, Pasvalys district, Plungė district, Skuodas district, Šiauliai district , municipalities in the Švenčionys district, as well as in the Raseiniai district.

On Friday night, the Ministry of Health announced that due to epidemiological indicators, another 8 municipalities in the country, including large cities, are entering the red zone of municipalities.

To control the spread of the coronavirus, it is mandatory not only to follow the recommendations and instructions of specialists in municipalities that have entered the red zone, but also to decide on the issuance of local quarantine.
The government can accept local quarantine. According to the Minister of Health, Aurelijus Verygos, this could be done from Monday.
Currently, 21 municipalities in the country are included in the red zone, 26 in the yellow zone and 13 in the green zone.
In these municipalities, the following requirements apply when traveling by public transport: a distance of 1 meter must be maintained, passengers, only in seats.
Meeting restrictions have been introduced in municipalities where local quarantine has been announced.

Local quarantine municipalities are also prohibited from visiting patients other than terminal patients, patients under 14 years of age, and mothers.
It is also forbidden to visit patients in social residences, it is recommended to limit the working hours of day centers.
It is recommended that religious communities operating in municipal territories organize religious rites in a way that avoids meetings or refrains from performing religious rites.

From Monday, visitors of leisure, entertainment, events, catering and other places it will be mandatory.

Primary school pupils also go out for a week, and after that education will be organized in a contact way.
For primary school children, as well as for children of preschool and preschool age, education is carried out in the form of contact and in those municipalities where the quarantine has been announced (red zone), unless the municipality itself decide otherwise, that is, organize education remotely.
Non-formal education during this period should also be carried out remotely, and if this fails, such as group training, non-formal education should be canceled.
And as of November 9, non-formal education of children and adults can be provided again ensuring the conditions of human flow management, safe distance and other conditions necessary for public health, safety, hygiene, provision of people with the equipment necessary personal protection established by the manager of emergency operations at the state level.
The same applies to all camp organizers, starting October 26. until November 8. they will not be able to proceed in the usual way, it is advisable to postpone them or execute them remotely.
As of November 9. preschool, preschool, general education, non-formal education of children and adults, vocational training, higher education studies, educational assistance is provided in educational institutions and other education providers in the usual way, ensuring the conditions for the management of the flow of people, the maintenance of a safe distance and other conditions necessary for the protection of public health, hygiene and the provision of people with the necessary personal protective equipment established by the Operations Manual Statewide Emergency.
