80 new cases were detected in Kaunas, 38 in Šiauliai, 30 in Klaipėda, 24 in Marijampolė counties. Another 18 were approved in Telšiai, 14 in Panevėžys, ten in Utena, eight in Tauragė and two in Alytus counties.
Seven import cases were also recorded: two from Russia, one each from Spain, Belgium, France, Belarus and Romania.
Most of the new cases are in nursing homes and hospitals.
According to epidemiologists, in Marijampolė County, 20 confirmed cases per day are related to an outbreak in Marijampolė special social care homes: coronavirus was detected in 18 residents and two employees. A total of 54 related cases have already been registered here: 35 for residents and 19 for employees.
Another 5 new cases, confirmed yesterday, are related to the outbreak in the Lioliai welfare home in Kelmė district. A total of 21 coronavirus cases were identified here, in 12 residents and four workers, and five secondary cases were identified.
There are also three new cases, according to epidemiologists, related to the Blinstrubiškės welfare home near Raseiniai. Individuals are employees. A total of 172 cases of COVID-19 are associated with this outbreak, of which 51 were workers, 111 inhabitants and 10 secondary cases.
Eight cases of coronavirus, confirmed yesterday, were associated with outbreaks in the departments of the Kaunas clinics, and four cases were associated with outbreaks in the departments of the Kaunas Hospital of the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences. In Kaunas County, another case is estimated to be related to the outbreak at the Kaišiadorys Social Services Center, as well as one case – the Kaunas Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
There were also two cases related to the outbreak in the Kaunas choir “Lyra”, one related to the outbreak in the dance studio “Flash Dance”.
One case from each case in Kaunas County is associated with outbreaks in the “Long Mustache” kindergarten, Veiveriai Tomas Žilinskas Gymnasium, Kaunas Vaižgantas Progymnasium Technological University.
Yesterday, in Šiauliai county, two new infections were recorded in connection with the Šiauliai educational center “Spindulys”, one related to outbreaks in the Kelmė vocational training center, in the company “Kelmės vanduo”.

A case in Klaipėda county is associated with outbreaks at the Ernestas Galvanauskas Vocational Training Center in Klaipėda and Klaip deda University.

The NVSC reports that 424 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded per day, five people died.
