Quarantine announced in 12 Lithuanian municipalities

The quarantine will be announced in the following municipalities: Elektrėnai, Joniškis district, Jurbarkas district, Kelmė district, Klaipėda district, Kretinga district, Marijampolė, Pasvalys district, Plungė district, Skuodas district, Šiauliai district, district by Švenčionys.

The duration of the quarantine regime is from October 26. 00:00 until November 9. 24:00

“Given the unfavorable epidemiological situation of Covid-19, we propose to announce the quarantine in these municipalities,” said Health Minister Aurelijus Veryga at the government meeting.

Do not swarm

In these municipalities, the intensity of travel on regular long-distance and suburban passenger transport routes will be limited: when leaving the territory of the municipality, travelers can occupy only seats at a distance of at least 1 meter.

People will be obliged to be in public places in groups of no more than 5 people, except family members, to maintain a distance of at least 2 meters between people or groups of people, to avoid direct physical contact, to meet the requirements of personal hygiene. Restricted does not apply when attending a funeral.

Mandatory masks

Children over 6 years of age must wear protective equipment covering their nose and mouth in closed public spaces and on public transportation, except for people who play sports, highly qualified sports and physical activity specialists, sports instructors from high performance and physical activity and judges, sitting at a table or bar in a catering establishment, as well as during the provision of a service in which the service cannot be provided while the recipient of the service is masked.

This requirement does not apply to persons with disabilities who, due to their state of health, cannot wear masks or whose use could endanger the state of health of a person. These people are recommended to wear a face shield.

In state and municipal institutions, establishments, state and municipal companies, work is organized and clients are served remotely or partially remotely and in cases where the relevant functions must be performed at the workplace. It is essential to ensure that the necessary emergency functions are performed. It is recommended that the private sector work in the same way of organizing work as in the public sector.

The flow of buyers and other visitors is restricted in the facilities, territories and (or) adjacent to shops, kiosks and other points of sale, not less than 10 m2. m of commercial space per buyer or no more than one buyer is served at a time.

The flow of recipients of the service and other visitors is limited in the places where the service is provided: at least 10 m2. m area of ​​the premises of the place of provision of the service by a recipient of the service or another visitor, or at the same time the services are provided to no more than one recipient of the service.

Other restrictions

Visits to patients in personal health care facilities are prohibited, except visits to terminally ill patients, patients under 14 years of age, and mothers.

Visiting residents of all inpatient social service institutions, families, group and community living homes is prohibited.

It is recommended to restrict the activities of the day and employment centers for children, people with disabilities and the elderly.

Municipal administrations must provide care for children and people with disabilities in exceptional cases in institutions if such care is not possible at home.

Recommend to the religious communities that operate in the municipal territories that they organize religious rites in such a way as to avoid meetings or refrain from performing religious rites.
