“As school holidays approached, today the possibility of having those holidays instead of a week was discussed.
Take a break from the educational system. Of course, considering the possibilities of restricting events where it is not possible to observe several important security measures and thus allow the situation to stabilize a bit, ”the Minister of Health told reporters.
Veryga stressed that a decision had not been made yet and that it could be considered later this week. According to him, the adoption of this measure could be expected to “change the silver lining.”
Razmuvienė: the virus is spreading in families and schools
D. Razmuvienė announced that family outbreaks are occurring again, of which people infect family members, and cases of the disease are spreading to educational institutions and workplaces.
“At least yesterday’s figures worry educational institutions. Of the 205 cases registered yesterday, 1 quarter was registered in educational institutions. That is, 53 people, whether working or students, are enrolled yesterday only in educational institutions, “he said.
In all, nearly 250 schools registered patients in September, most of them students. Internal spread continues to be monitored.
Currently, there are 45 educational establishments where the virus is spreading within schools.
205 new cases
The National Public Health Center (NVSC) reports that 205 cases of coronavirus infection (COVID-19) were confirmed in Lithuania last day.
Currently, the total number of Covid-19 cases in Lithuania has reached 7726. No new deaths were identified. The number is 113. Another 35 people died from other causes. 3,110 people have already recovered from the virus and 4,468 are still sick.
Currently, there are 32,220 people in isolation, as of June 1. 352 import cases were registered.
In Lithuanian hospitals, 229 people are treated for COVID-19, 20 of them in resuscitation, 87 patients are treated with oxygen masks and nine more are treated with artificial lung ventilation.
