The Ministry recalls that additional criteria are applied to third countries, taking into account parameters such as the volume of tests indicator, the percentage of positive test results, the availability of information, the hospitalization indicator and the number of cases of importation of a particular country to Lithuania.

As of Monday, there are exceptions for the isolation of highly qualified athletes, sports specialists, sports instructors, sports medical personnel participating in international tournaments, as well as seafarers arriving in Lithuania from a trip or shift at sea.

It will also not be necessary to isolate Polish citizens and people legally residing in Poland coming to Lithuania and Lithuanian citizens, as well as people legally residing in Lithuania who go to Poland to visit the graves of their relatives on October 30 to November 2. Furthermore, those coming from Poland do not need to be isolated when traveling for work, study, agricultural activities or medical care.

The isolation requirement does not apply to arrivals from the Baltic States: Latvia and Estonia.

Foreigners arriving from affected countries and third countries no longer need more than 72 hours. A coronavirus test was conducted in the period prior to arrival in Lithuania with a negative response. To leave the isolation site or shorten the isolation period for the identified reasons, a test is necessary. The isolation lasts fourteen days.
