Due to the spread of COVID-19 in Plungė district, events, meetings and patient visits are prohibited.

According to the order signed by Mindaugas Kaunas, Director of the Plungė District Municipality Administration on Friday, these measures must be followed until the territory of the Plungė Municipality is assessed as low risk of spread.

During this period, it is prohibited to organize collective events and other unnecessary meetings of employees in all state and municipal institutions, establishments and enterprises, and the time of public catering establishments and rural tourism farms in Plungė district is limited to 22 hours.

With the exception of individual training sessions, during which the coach wears a mask, organizing sports and physical activity events is prohibited.

All events and meetings in open and closed spaces are also prohibited.

In addition, as of Friday night, visits to medical or sick-care centers are no longer allowed unless the needs of the dying person are met.

The municipality is also obliged to organize all non-formal education activities for children and adults remotely and, if this is not possible, stop them. The same restrictions apply to cultural institutions with clubs, clubs, studios or art groups.

Church-organized activities in preparation for First Communion or the Sacrament of Confirmation are encouraged to be conducted remotely or to follow all principles of isolation and avoid gatherings.

Employee meetings or meetings in companies and institutions are also encouraged remotely and, if this is not possible, all preventive measures are ensured.

All employees of state and municipal institutions or companies who do not need to perform work functions in the workplace or those whose functions are not an urgent need should also switch to teleworking.

The municipality encourages private companies and institutions to adopt the same business model. Your supervisors are also advised to arrange testing for all employees if a case of coronavirus is detected on the equipment.

At the municipal Emergency Situations Commission meeting on Friday, it was also decided to increase the scope of the population’s PCR molecular testing and extend the working hours of the mobile test point in Plungė.

The municipality also commissioned the organization of a PCR study of all students and staff at Plung School Old Town School, giving priority to primary school teachers and students. At this school, the coronavirus restriction regime should be in effect until next Friday.

According to the National Center for Public Health, the incidence of COVID-19 in 14 days is 100,000. the population indicator in Plungė is 172.8. In all of Lithuania, this indicator is 78.3.

A total of 7,269 cases of the COVID-19 disease have been confirmed in Lithuania, 4,025 people are still ill, 3,097 have recovered and 113 patients have died.
