The president was scheduled to vote at 11 am, but arrived later at the electoral college.

“Everything was very simple, the area was well prepared. I easily found on the list why I wanted to vote. Yes, that civic duty has been fulfilled and once again I invite people to come and vote. We have a celebration of democracy in the true sense of the word, let’s take advantage of it, ”said G. Nausėda.

The Head of State said that the Seimas again expected better communication between them and more constructive communication with other institutions.

“I hope to have better communication between us and with other authorities. I would like that very much, because I believe that the next five or seven years can be wonderful for Lithuania. There are all the prerequisites for this, and our excellent cooperation and membership in the Union. European, the advantages, the multi-annual financial perspective, the recovery fund. Lithuania really receives very large funds, all that remains is to have a very clear vision or strategy and take advantage of those opportunities, “said G. Nausėda.

When asked what criteria he used to decide for whom to cast his vote, the president replied:

“I chose the ambition to put less pressure on each other, to attack each other less personally, to think more about the state, about a green, digital and socially responsible Lithuania. That is the vision of the welfare state. Of course, it will definitely be easier for me to talk to the political forces, who will not have to explain from scratch what a welfare state is, ”said G. Nausėda.

Delfi recalls that voters can cast their ballots on Sundays from 7 am to 8 pm. Votes will only start counting when polling stations are closed.

According to the Central Electoral Commission (CEC), on Election Day, voters vote in the constituency in which they are included.

A voter also has the right to vote in any constituency of his constituency that is connected to the information system of the Central Electoral Commission by electronic means. The map on the Voter Page website shows where voters have to vote and which polling station addresses.

The Ministry of Health (SAM) and the CEC reiterate that it is mandatory to use protective equipment that covers the nose and mouth, to have an identity document and to bring your own writing instrument.
