After the last show, in which the pair boasted of being in the top three, this time they scored even more points from the judges – 25 and moved up to first place. This emotional performance is especially significant for the couple themselves, the press release said.

“One of the topics that we discussed a lot as soon as I met Justas was family: how important it is for both of us to connect with family members. I immediately realized that we would create meaningful and sensitive performances. Recently, we both lost: Justas lost her grandparents , I lost my great-grandfather and a close family friend. We both know this pain and wanted to transmit it in an artistic way on the parquet floor, thus giving the dance to the relatives who gave up the anapiline and to those who are currently suffering a loss “, he comments singer and actress Kristina Radžiukynaitė on the idea of the dance.

While the couple’s dance reflected the feeling of how difficult it is to let go of this person leaving the world and make it a memory, in the show’s report, the tandem dance was not about loss, but about giving thanks. to the people who raised them. KaYra not only spoke about her grandfather, but also tattooed his words on her wrist.

“I had been thinking about tattooing for a long time, but still did not hesitate because I was dreaming of a significant note that would remind me of a positive emotion, inspire me, but I still couldn’t find one. More recently, I met my grandfather, who always supports me madly everywhere. As always, his words to me were “Christ, everything will be fine.” He repeated it to me and he repeats it every time I feel weak and scared about something. At that moment, I realized that I already knew what words I wanted to write on my wrist, ”he says.

The singer shares that her grandfather is one of the people closest to her in terms of life choices and values or ways.

“We think similarly, we both love music, art, books and writing. We are both very sensitive and empathetic. I often go to him just to talk and listen. I really appreciate those moments, ”the artist shares.

Kristina admitted that she was very afraid of getting this first tattoo, but now she jokes that her eyebrows hurt more. KaYra hints that in the future, her body may be decorated with even more characters related to her loved ones, because they are the meaning of the artist’s life. This was also evidenced by Kristina’s birthday greeting to her father during the live broadcast. Dance partner Justas, who accompanied the singer-songwriter to the tattoo parlor, did not visit here for the first time; he says that the six drawings on his body are one of his forms of self-expression.

“I think everything in life should be reasonable, make sense. Why do something if it doesn’t mean anything? At the end of the project, I will continue my story about the body. This time it will be time ”, he thinks.

Personal experiences and thoughts about the passage of time also determined the choice of the KaYra and Justa rumba soundtrack.

“I was listening to these songs when my friend’s dad left. It gives me a very beautiful meaning of eternal love and eternity in general, ”shares Kristina.

The sensitive dance partners agree that they should not be labeled sad or nostalgic; they promise a wide range of emotions, characters and stories during the project.

“Everything can be expected of us in this project, from the most sensitive notes to completely comic characters. We try to make each of our performances as a mini-performance, a movie, with its own plot and story. We are both sensitive to art. , every detail must be felt and thought about, ”said KaYra.
