It should be noted that isolation is not mandatory when arriving in Lithuania from neighboring Baltic countries – Latvia and Estonia. Poland, for its part, remains on the list of affected countries, but the exemptions granted to this country so far also remain.

Those coming from Poland do not need to be isolated when traveling for work, study, agricultural activities or medical care.

SAM reminds that isolation is not mandatory when flying through an affected country when you do not leave the airport transit area and from a country not affected by coronavirus when passing through Poland, when only the necessary stops are made (refueling, hygiene , etc.)

It is also reminded that foreigners from affected countries and third countries no longer need to have more than 72 hours. A test for coronavirus (COVID-19) was carried out in the period prior to arrival in Lithuania and a negative response was obtained. To leave the isolation site or shorten the isolation period for the identified reasons, a test is necessary.

Any traveler returning to or arriving in Lithuania on scheduled, special or charter flights by air, sea or land must register electronically with the National Center for Public Health (NVSC) by completing a form. The passenger must present the registration confirmation received, the so-called QR code, when boarding a plane, ferry, bus or train.

In cases where a person has traveled independently by land, they must register with the NVSC electronically no later than 12 hours after the time of return or arrival in Lithuania.

The SAM recalls that the list of countries most affected is updated weekly, taking into account epidemiological indicators in foreign countries.
