According to Health Minister Aurelijus Veryga, the opening of the new Outpatient Diagnostic Center in the Kaunas Clinical City is a very important change not only for patients across Lithuania, but also for the medical community.

The Outpatient Diagnostic Center will provide inpatient therapy profile services on a daily basis. Patients are expected to be monitored after anesthesia procedures and only then released from the hospital. There were no such facilities in the old facilities, so patients were hospitalized after these procedures.
The historical building of the former Consultative Polyclinic is included in the list of architectural heritage, no changes were possible in it, so it was decided to build a new building in the Kaunas city clinics.
