A Lithuanian posing as a model was once again heard in the foreign press for crimes: he even earned a nickname

Jonita Ragaišytė, 29, pleaded guilty to twelve counts, including trespassing, theft of bank cards and illegal acquisition of property. He appeared before the Melbourne Magistrates Court last week.

On February 16, the Lithuanian and three other men visited the Melbourne port storage facility overnight. Surveillance cameras have captured four people entering and exiting warehouses for a good two hours, reports the Herald Sun.

That night, criminals broke into a used car dealership in the same building and stole credit cards and car keys, police say. The company left Joe Vella Used Cars on the fourth morning of the stolen car.

Then J. Ragaišytė bought a phone, mobile cards, cigarettes, a lighter and cosmetics with stolen credit. Then he drove to St Kilda, where a shopping marathon started. Then the girl booked a room in the Aura apartment, which was on the seventh floor. There, detectives later discovered that the Lithuanian had invaded other apartments (when there were no people in them). When they returned, they noticed that the door was closed, but found no Nike backpacks, clothing or cosmetics in the room. According to the police, the only way to get to that room is through the balcony.

In June 2019, R. Ragaišytė pleaded guilty to hotel robbery and his accomplice was also charged, but had not yet appeared in court.

Justice Hayley Bate told a Lithuanian lawyer in court that the accused belonged to the “crime again” risk group. The court sent Lithuania 100 hours of community service and 12 months of probation. The model will also need to undergo drug, alcohol and mental health tests.

In September last year, R. Ragaišytė escaped from prison after admitting that he had strong drugs. Police officers found a real drug cache in her apartment in 2017, where the 27-year-old lived with her then-boyfriend Camre Volkan. Lithuania was caught with drugs that she had inadvertently left in her Chanel bag while visiting her fellow drug dealer in prison.
