A.Veryga confirmed that the situation is complicated in catering establishments, the requirements are not always met, but this is not the only place.

“So far, the consensus is that these measures, in terms of catering establishments, should be proposed and applied to those municipalities where the situation is worse, without offering these measures to the entire country,” said A. Veryga.

According to him, the decision to limit the working hours of the institutions was discussed in the COVID-19 management committee.

“Such measures may exist in the most problematic municipalities, but they will still be discussed with managers and administrations,” says Veryga.

Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis has announced that bars and restaurants will be able to work normally on Facebook sooner.

“(…) I want to say in advance that the opening hours of restaurants and entertainment venues should not be reduced in those municipalities where the COVID-19 situation is not a cause for concern,” Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis said on Facebook .

Currently, the most difficult situation remains in the Raseiniai district. In the municipality, where the morbidity rate per 100,000 inhabitants has reached almost 1,000 cases. In comparison, throughout Lithuania this indicator is less than 50.

“Exceptionally complicated municipality and the situation there is complicated”, – A.Veryga spoke about the Raseiniai district

The situation remains difficult in the Radviliskis district. where the morbidity rate exceeds 600 cases per one hundred thousand inhabitants.

This Wednesday, the Government will consider at least the application of some separate measures of these municipalities. The application of the measures will be discussed with the heads of municipalities, mayors, directors of administrations, ”said A.Veryga.

He mentioned that there are more cases in the cities of Vilnius, Kaunas, Šiauliai, Panevėžys, as well as other municipalities, including Druskininkai, Šiauliai district, Kelmė, Kupiškis, Ukmergė, Kaunas district, Mažeikiai, Vilnius district, Kėdainiai and other districts. . .

The government will also decide to expand the event concept: it is proposed to register participants for non-commercial events, such as city festivals, festivals or fairs.

“There is a maximum number of 300 people from which registration would begin; it is proposed that registration be done regardless of the number of participants in such events. For the disease to spread, it would be possible to properly assess and conduct a focused study , identify who are the contact persons and direct them to the tests ”, said A. Veryga.

Last week, Ms Veryga said that when considering the opening hours of catering establishments, two possible options were considered for the closing hours: up to 10 or up to 24 hours.

“Considering that there are restaurants until 24 hours, where people come to stay, consecrate, eat, they are not discos, then that discussion was more focused at this time. But so far it has been abandoned because the business has been told that “we will do everything. Everything will be observed with us. “What you have to see live while driving is far from being observed,” said A. Veryga.
