The trade union “Independent 15-minute Editorial Office” is a structural subdivision of the Union of Journalists of Lithuania.

R. Šaučikovas evaluates positively, expects cooperation

Ramūnas Šaučikovas, General Manager of 15min, said he hoped the union would help establish dialogue and implement changes.

15min belongs to the Postimees Grupp media group. The sole shareholder of the latter is the Estonian investment company UP Invest. The majority of UP Invest shares are owned by Estonian businessman Margus Linnamae.

Dainius Radzevičius, president of the Lithuanian Union of Journalists, says that in socially responsible companies, constant dialogue with employees is one of the most important preconditions for successful operations.

“It is obvious that the professional activity of journalists is subject to special professional and ethical obligations. Therefore, the community spirit and solidarity of journalists is crucial to ensure the real, rather than declarative, implementation of these high standards.
