SAM: No need to isolate in transit through Estonia and Poland

Isolation is not required for transit through the affected country or for purposes of work, study, agriculture, or health care through these countries.

Aurelijus Veryga, Minister of Health and Head of State Emergency Operations, signed amendments to the legislation on Monday clarifying exceptions to isolation: People returning from a coronavirus-free country via Poland or Estonia are no longer required to isolate themselves, as long as they only make the necessary stops (fuel, accessories, hygiene needs, etc.).

Latvia is not included in the list of affected countries, so isolation does not apply when entering or passing through it.

The Ministry of Health (SAM) recalls that isolation is also not mandatory on arrival or return from Poland and Estonia to travel for work, study, agricultural activities or medical care.
