Edmundas Jonyla, director of the Municipal Administration, said at the meeting of the Commission on Emergency Situations.
“We have decided to recommend abstaining from vacations, marriages, as well as travel, as much as possible, for at least two weeks, to limit the number of those personal meetings. It is difficult to do, but there is that invitation, a recommendation to limit, postpone those entertainments, trips to other areas ”, he added.
The municipality also enlists the help of volunteers to ensure that residents adhere to self-isolation and other more stringent requirements.
“We have called in volunteers to help us ensure control over the order of people who need to be in self-isolation in the city,” said the head of administration.
A formal order from the director of administration will go into effect on Saturday.
According to him, there are currently about 200 people in the district who have been diagnosed with coronavirus, including himself and the district mayor. On Friday morning alone, 51 new cases from 95 studies were registered.
According to the National Center for Public Health (NVSC), 24 new cases of coronavirus were registered last day, but the latest investigation should reflect the statistics for the next day.

According to him, the help of the soldiers was needed, because due to the outbreak, the healthy and uninsulated officers of the Raseiniai Police Station cannot react to the events and cannot provide assistance to the municipality. It promises that through the Kaunas National Defense Volunteer Team, the Commander of the Armed Forces will be contacted for help.
The Commission on Emergency Situations has also decided to intensify coronavirus testing by allowing testing of all residents of the district, giving priority to larger companies, as well as health, education and service workers, they will be invited to verify Starting Saturday, a mobile checkpoint will be open starting Wednesday. All management employees will also be surveyed – there are about 100 of them and almost all of them currently work remotely.
It is recommended that institutions and companies work remotely, and sports clubs, dance and other groups cannot teach classes for at least two weeks.
The municipality has also found transportation to take residents to the mobile checkpoint, continues to promise to disinfect stairways in apartment buildings, and actively informs residents about security compliance.
