Both cases were confirmed on Tuesday: the disease was diagnosed with a coronavirus employee of the Citadele Bank branch located in Šiauliai Akropolis and an employee of the Sugihara SPA SPA center and cosmetics store in Vilnius Akropolis.

Akropolis Group claims that upon learning of the positive COVID-19 test results, the Siauliai and Vilnius branches of the National Center for Public Health (NVSC) were immediately informed, and professional disinfection and cleaning was performed in Wednesday morning. the bank branch in Siauliai and the SPA center in Vilnius.

Both the bank branch and the SPA center continue to operate in the usual way, the bank branch only serves customers by pre-registration, this is done by a team that has not had contact with the patient.

A Citadele employee who was infected with the coronavirus was at work for the last time on September 18, and a Sugihara SPA employee was on September 20. Both individuals feel good. Colleagues who have worked with infected workers are reported to be in self-isolation. They will also be tested for the COVID-19 virus and will only return to work after receiving a negative test result and permission from a specialist.

NVSC specialists assured that these cases are not related to each other. There is also no connection with the three previous cases, when the employees of different stores located in Šiauliai Akropolis got sick at different times ”, says Dominykas Mertinas, Head of the Communication Department of the Akropolis Group.

According to him, the situation is closely monitored according to the recommendations, so far it is not necessary to disinfect supermarkets. The group notes that throughout Akropolis, Vilnius, Klaipėda and Šiauliai, the most frequently touched surfaces are disinfected at least twice a day and, by the end of October, the armrests of escalators and travelers will be disinfected with rays ultraviolet and the air in elevators.

Citadele Bank says this is the first case at the bank and it is inviting customers to use e-banking and a mobile app to reduce the spread of the coronavirus.
