The NVSC submitted a proposal to immediately convene a meeting of the Radviliškis District Municipality Emergency Situations Commission to the Radviliškis District Municipality Administration.

According to NVSC specialists, Radviliškis Hospital is not coping with the situation, so there are fears of a further spread of the coronavirus outside the institution.
NVSC recalls that the center’s specialists, after conducting an unscheduled inspection at Radviliškis Hospital, identified violations of infection control that may have contributed to the spread of the coronavirus infection in the institution. As a result, the medical institution was instructed to immediately suspend the admission of new patients to the medical institution, that is, not only to the Nursing and Supportive Care Unit, but also to all other wards of the hospital.
Justina Petravičienė, a specialist in the Internal Administration Division of the National Center for Public Health (NVSC), says that the number of cases at Radviliškis Hospital is likely to increase.
“The largest fireplace currently active, to which NVSC specialists pay the most attention, is the Radviliškis Hospital fireplace. There we have confirmed 30 cases of the disease there on the last day, 27 of them are patients and three are employees. In total, 38 COVID-19 cases are confirmed at Radviliškis Hospital, 28 of which are patients, ”J. Petravičienė told Eltai.
“There is evidence that the number of cases may increase because our specialists have such information. “Employees are being evaluated and we will probably have new cases identified today,” he added.
Due to the COVID-19 outbreak in Radviliškis, a meeting of the District Municipality Emergency Commission is called on Saturday.
“We will meet at 3 pm,” Radviliškis Mayor Antanas Čepononis told BNS.
The National Public Health Center (NVSC) asked the district municipality for a summons to convene an emergency commission meeting on Saturday, having already identified 38 cases of coronavirus infection at Radviliškis Hospital.
NVCS proposes to temporarily switch to distance education in the municipality, to address telework problems in institutions, organizations, companies, when possible.
The NSSD also suggests that the commission address the issue of organizing research to identify coronavirus infection, prioritizing healthcare and education personnel, officials, merchants, and pharmacists.
