According to our data, the person who was confirmed to have a coronavirus infection today was at work for the last time on Sunday, September 13. The employee felt unwell that afternoon, leading to a COVID-19 test on Monday. As soon as we heard about this case, as always, we immediately consulted with the Šiauliai branch of the NVSC and took coordinated actions with specialists, ”says Dominykas Mertinas, Head of the Communication Department of the Akropolis Group.

According to D. Mertinas, although this is the third case this week in Šiauliai “Akropolis”, according to the recommendations of NVSC specialists, it is not necessary to disinfect the entire shopping center.

A couple of days ago, it was announced that a COVID-19 infection had been confirmed to a Tele2 employee in the Šiauliai Akropolis showroom on September 15.

It is reported that, on their own initiative, both in Šiauliai, Vilnius and Klaipėda Akropolis, hygiene and disinfection rules are strictly observed: in addition, surfaces and sanitary premises that are most frequently touched are disinfected at least twice a day, the ventilation system works at full capacity, its filters are periodically changed. To pay even more attention to the safety of visitors, additional virus prevention measures will be implemented at the end of October in the three Akropolis: automated UV disinfection of the armrests of escalators and travelers (moving paths), as well as the air in the elevator cabs.

Visitors to shopping and entertainment centers may only wear protective masks. It is recommended to use regular disinfectant liquid, which can be found at every supermarket entrance, near sanitary areas, shops, restaurants and leisure areas. Also keep a safe distance of at least 1 meter from other people.

All the people who work at Akropolis also observe strict hand hygiene, monitor their health and wear protective masks that cover the nose and mouth. Staff and caregivers are constantly reminded not to visit any public place in any way and to stay home for safety reasons if they experience any cold-like symptoms.
