The minister said that from now on, people who have had contact with the patient, specialists from the National Public Health Center will simply call the phone and no longer need to sign documents, it will be enough for the interview to be recorded to make it autonomous.

Additionally, permission to leave the self-isolation site will no longer be required for COVID-19 testing.

D.Razmuvienė stated that one of the most disturbing chimneys was formed in the Raseiniai police, Klaipėdos energija, Šiauliai sewing company, where there are already 39 cases. Another chimney is related to a shopping center in Šiauliai. The fireplace related to the VGTU bedroom is also concerning.

“There are fewer family fireplaces already,” he said.

According to D.Razmuvienė, although the virus has already spread to 30 schools, 43 people are sick, 34 of them are children, two preschoolers, six teachers and three employees do not need to panic.

Even in the Gabija progymnasium, where the virus spread within the school, the situation is under control. According to D.Razmuvienė, it is now important that all people related to the fireplace and who had to isolate themselves follow the rules.

“In schools, this case is the first to spread in the progymnasium itself. If the virus did spread, clearly there was a gap in the order. … Uncontrolled flows,” he said.

The Minister of Health, A.Veryga, said that schools should not panic over the situation. He does not recommend sending all overweight children home because a runny nose does not match a runny nose.

According to A.Veryga, it is not intended to offer new recommendations regarding the activities of the schools, only trainings are planned for the schools.

“There are definitely no such toughening plans,” the minister said.

When asked why not all schools identify the closest contacts in the classroom after identifying a case, A.Veryga assured that epidemiologists decide who should be investigated. He also recalled that the test was rational at least a week after contact with the infected person.

He welcomed the fact that young people are now sicker – people under 35 get sick more easily, so there are not many COVID-19 patients in hospitals.

Asked whether the conditions should not be hardened, the minister said that in theory the conditions should already be hardened in some municipalities, but in practice it is recorded that the virus is spreading in hotspots, so it is not necessary. According to the Minister, so far no measures are planned in relation to the provision of the planned health services.
