A truly adventurous family duel awaits him, as Merūnas and Erika Vitulskiai, the beloved people of all Lithuania, will win the fight. Rimantas Kaukėnas, the founder of the support group for children with cancer, will have to decide which of the two is the better culinary.
This culinary judge was not chosen by chance, as Erika and Merūnas have long been contributing to the foundation founded by Rimantas and are willing to get involved in the initiatives he is organizing. Furthermore, by doing good deeds together, they also became good friends.
“Our job is to help children with extremely serious illnesses who are in critical condition. Most of the time they are children with cancer, but we help as many as we can and we do not respond to anyone, ”says R. Kaukėnas in the program.
Speaking of the foundation’s activities, Erika didn’t hold back tears. As the fairy tale woman on the show, the connection and closeness that the members of the foundation create with sick children and their parents is truly extraordinary. Erika is convinced that even that connection and sincere care helps them recover faster, discover the joy of living and not break the difficult path of fighting illness.
“I am convinced that Merun and I have done something good in life, that Rimantas has appeared among our friends. Not only is he a great basketball player or friend, but also a person who understands that life requires not only taking, but also giving. Sometimes it may seem that the activities of the fund are very simple, someone donated money, someone bought something, gave it, but it is not like that. People drive themselves, see problems for themselves, and try to solve them. Rimantas communicates so closely with these children that they seem to become his own. The warmth that this background shares is extremely beautiful, ”says Erika sensitively.
In addition to sensitive and open conversations, there will be no shortage of recipes for delicious dishes this Saturday in the “Cooking stories” program. Erika and her host Ilona Juciūte-Čibirkiene will bake sausages, and Merūnas will join the men’s team and prepare spicy rice with sausages with Sri Lankan chef Dylan Dampella Gamage.
“The way we continue to live for half a year will depend on this duel,” Merun said without enthusiasm and with a smile at the beginning of the culinary fight.
It turns out that it is not for nothing that the show’s heroes boldly say that they are not newcomers to the kitchen: the stars of international opera, the tenor Merūnas Vitulskis, have a very close relationship with the culinary world, but they may not always be lucky.
“When I take the children out of kindergarten, I am forced to produce and it happens every day. I like to practice, try something new all the time. Sometimes it leads to an abyss and sometimes it gets pretty bad. Inspiration is the most important thing for me in food production, ”Merūnas opened on the show.
Erika will not be inferior to Merūnas with her culinary skills, but of course, the woman is capable not only in gastronomy, but also in fashion. Erika is one of the first fashion designers in the country to open a plus-size fashion house in her name and bring new winds to the wardrobes of Lithuanian women.
“Plump women can be shy, but they really like to dress well and with my help they finally discover their vests, belts, discover clothes that they did not dare to wear before. For me, a “plus size” woman is the most beautiful, “says Erika boldly.
