The Chief of Operations, Health Minister Aurelijus Veryga, signed a decision that obliges carriers who make such trips to ensure that all passengers provide confirmation of a completed questionnaire – a QR code.

If not, passengers should complete the forms before the start of the trip and the carriers should allow them, if necessary, to do so by the means provided by the carrier.
The paper questionnaire can be completed at the discretion of the Operations Manager only in exceptional cases by land and in the absence of objective possibilities to complete the questionnaire online. Passengers can complete a paper questionnaire, which must be submitted to the NVSC no later than one day.
This means that before boarding a plane, ferry, bus or train, a person will have to fill out a form on the NVSC website and present the confirmation received, the so-called QR code, at the time of boarding the vehicle.

According to Rolanda Lingienė, head of the NVSC Vilnius Department, several thousand paper questionnaires are collected daily at airports and at its port. This greatly complicates and prolongs the process, wasting time not only for professionals but also for travelers themselves.
“We understand that the coronavirus is not a common situation, we understand that people have additional concerns and inconveniences, but we must all contribute to measures to prevent the spread of the infection. I also want to emphasize that people are asked to provide data that is epidemiologically relevant. In general terms, if, for example, a disease is registered, the data provided by travelers makes it possible to know immediately which people were sitting next to the infected person during the trip, assess their individual risk and prevent further spread of the infection ” says R. Lingienė.
In the questionnaire, people must indicate their name, place of residence, countries visited, contact details, as well as the flight number, seat on the plane or ferry.
Isolation for 14 days from the date of arrival in Lithuania is mandatory for all persons arriving from the affected areas and for foreigners arriving from third countries.
