“It just came to our attention then. Yes, these are schools, educational institutions. We simply should not panic at the present time, – said the epidemiologist.” I am not saying that it is a normal process, but it is acceptable.
D.Razmuvienė assured that distance education does not really need to be introduced en masse, and some schools voluntarily apply coeducation.
According to the epidemiologist, currently 14 school-age children have coronavirus, all of whom are being treated on an outpatient basis.
A.Veryga announced Tuesday that it had revised recommendations for schools regarding feeding children. They emphasize that children need hot food.
In addition, the minister asked municipalities to withdraw rapid coronavirus tests for teaching research.
“The sooner it is better to take these tests and see the situation before the school year, so we can see the dynamics later,” he explained.
The minister warned that if the recommendations continue to be ignored, the municipalities that have not withdrawn the evidence will be made public.
The minister assured that talking about hot food for students when the virus is already spreading in educational institutions is appropriate, because it is important to take care that children do not contract other diseases as well.
The Minister does not intend to propose new recommendations for schools.
R.Veryga does not intend to provide new recommendations for personal celebrations, where the number of cases of infection has also recently increased.
“The private space was also not blown up during the quarantine,” he said. About the new restrictions are only considered for bars.
The minister himself spoke hoarsely at a press conference on Tuesday, but said he did not feel any symptoms of a cold and would not investigate the coronavirus himself.
A.Veryga explained that her voice was changing due to constant speech.
According to D.Razmuvienė, 40 people are being treated in hospitals on Tuesday, 3 of them in resuscitation, one is covered with artificial lung ventilation and 14 people are wearing oxygen masks.
