Following the renewal by the Ministry of Health of the countries most affected by the coronavirus, it is mandatory to isolate visitors from Norway, Hungary and Canada from Monday.

Updated: Minister A. Veryga’s explanation of a technical error.

Estonia’s withdrawal from the coronavirus-affected country is a technical error, and arrivals from this country will not be subject to a mandatory two-week isolation, says Health Minister Aurelijus Veryga.

Lithuania is certainly not breaking the Baltic bubble. Mistakes happen to everyone and Estonia’s withdrawal from the impact is a technical error that has now been corrected. We apologize for that, the minister is on the social network Facebook on Friday.

The Baltic States have agreed on an error estimate of 10%. In his opinion, even without further discussion, Estonia should not be affected by the situation, he added.

Earlier on Friday, the Health Ministry announced that Estonia was being withdrawn from a country affected by the coronavirus, so isolation would be mandatory for two weeks upon arrival.

In these countries, the incidence of coronavirus has increased to 16 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the last two weeks, but not 25 cases, so isolation is required for two weeks for those who enter or pass through them.

At present, less than 16 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the countries of the European Economic Area are found in three countries: Latvia, Finland and Cyprus. The morbidity rate in Lithuania also exceeded the threshold for affected countries and currently stands at 16.1.

Morbidity rates have skyrocketed in Italy and the United Kingdom, where 25 cases per 100,000 inhabitants have been boiled over the past 14 days. A coronavirus infection test is now required to be mandatory for countries arriving no earlier than three days prior to arrival in Lithuania.

The incidence has increased in Bulgaria, Iceland, Sweden, Liechtenstein, Kyrgyzstan, where it is now less than 25 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. Isolation for 14 days is mandatory for arrivals, but coronavirus testing is not required.

The Ministry of Health states that isolation is mandatory for those arriving in a country affected by the coronavirus, but isolation is not necessary if the mons travel through an uninfected country through a traffic area but do not enter the area. airport transit. Nor is it necessary to isolate those traveling through Poland when only essential stops are made.
