Starting Tuesday, doctors can benefit from a € 200 rest grant

Doctors will be able to use this tool until November 30, announced the Ministry of Economy and Innovation.

“To thank the doctors who worked in extremely difficult conditions during the quarantine, we raised the idea of ​​a medical break in Lithuania. The funds allocated for their recreation will go to the tourism sector, ”Minister Rimantas Sinkevičius said in the statement.

Tourism services will be available free of charge to both licensed physicians and unlicensed health professionals. They will be able to choose holiday offers in Lithuania and buy tourist services once from the chosen tourist service provider.

Licensed healthcare workers will be able to contact providers with their license number, and those who are not licensed will receive tourism coupons.

When purchasing tourist services for less than € 200, the unused part will not be reimbursed, and those who wish to purchase services for more than € 200 must cover the difference with their own funds.

Currently, more than 5,000 people have already booked tourism services compensated by the state. 655 providers provide health workers and services.

The budget for the measure “Holidays for doctors” amounts to 10 million. euros.
