The British named the birth of a Lithuanian woman the first of its kind in a century – I screamed in pain, but the worst was what happened after all.

Mary begins her story with the fact that two children have been, say, raised, the third being 6 years old and at least 8 months old. All children saw this world too early, but the third birth was truly exceptional. “While I was waiting for my third child, I had a four-centimeter cervix opened at seventeen weeks, I started to bleed and went to the hospital. Doctors inspected him and said, “We left him overnight, because there will definitely be a miscarriage.” But I’m not going to leave everything to the will of fate. I started demanding everything to save my baby: taking inhibitor medications, laying threads, sewing the uterus. They did nothing for a day. I did not overdo it. She came to see me again and already asked me what I wanted her to do. I said it all. They put the strings on me and let me go home. She had to show up every two weeks, “Maria said.

At 33 weeks, the bleeding started and the woman returned to the hospital. She explained to the doctors that there are two threads attached to the cervix that need to be removed. “The doctor I was talking to came in after the night shift, young, asleep, joking with the nurses about coffee and whatnot. She took me to the operating room, took one thread from there and left the other. I kept asking if I took both. And they tell me, “Don’t worry, it’s okay.” Time passes, the contractions are greater and the neck does not open. They inject me with medicine, they leave me drops and my neck is about 1 cm, then 1 cm, ”said María.

The woman remembers that inhuman pain began. “I started yelling for her to do what she wanted, but I cut that kid down first. The pain was unimaginable, I lost consciousness and then woke up again. Then came a brigade of students. I grabbed a young man by the hand and started to push. Okay, if I don’t break her fingers. I started screaming in my own voice. And pushing me to rip that neck off. The baby was out in a second. Thirty maybe thirty doctors ran to see what was here as possible, ”the woman shared her memories.

The British named the birth of a Lithuanian woman the first of its kind in a century - I screamed in pain, but the worst was what happened after all.

Because the baby was born prematurely, Mary was released from the hospital. “They examined me and told me that everything should recover in a couple of days. I had pain for a couple of days, I couldn’t even go to the bathroom. I saw a thumb-sized chunk of meat dangling between my legs. I kept calling the doctor to see what he had. Two days later she arrived, I explained that something was wrong. Without painkillers, I couldn’t stand the exam, so they took me to the operating room, gave me medication and then started running, “said the interlocutor. Doctors shook their heads and a group of specialists gathered in the operating room. Mary started pushing documents for him to sign: she had to amputate her cervix. “She amputated her neck and said she would no longer have children. Because when I get pregnant, my neck can’t hold and I will overdo it. But after 5 years a miracle happened and I got pregnant again. Then the uterus was sutured and the beauty was born at 31 weeks. Of course, the delivery was urgent, complicated because the girl’s heart stopped beating. But it all ended well, ”Mom smiled.

All the children were born to Mary in Great Britain, where she currently lives. When asked whether, after such medical negligence, she had not contacted the relevant authorities, the woman said that she had requested but had not sought anything about it. “We requested, we wrote complaints, they took responsibility, they transferred the doctor to another hospital, to a lower position, but what was done, done. I am sure that we all receive all that we can suffer. “I gave birth to all the children without painkillers, even though I was already screaming with the third to give me medicine and whatever, but they said it was too late,” Maria said.

Today she can talk about this birth without tears in her eyes, although until recently things were different. “Everyone asks me where I have so much courage, but I am convinced and my heart says: if God has already given a miracle, he must give birth. As it will be, it will be, but it is worth a try ”, smiles the mother of four.
