New Study: Even in the best of cases, we only have 10 percent. chance to preserve your civilization

A study published by Scientific Reports (available for more information HERE) shapes the future of humanity and is largely based on current indicators of the use of forests and other resources.

The worst part is that even if the mildest scenario turns out to be true, there is still 90 percent. the collapse of humanity as it is now.

Physicists have based their research on the use of forests and other resources and claim that we will ultimately destroy the Earth’s forests for the next 100 to 200 years.

Add to that the change in world population, the growth in resource consumption: we have a planned collapse.

“Let us not imagine that the collapse of humanity will begin with the last tree felled on the planet,” the study said. If we continue to waste Earth’s resources in this way, humanity’s collapse will begin in the next 20 to 40 years.

Although the motherboard notes that the global rate of deforestation has decreased in recent years, we are still deforesting and replanting is not reaping the benefits of primary forests.

The latter provide biodiversity, better temperature and water circulation and, most importantly, absorb much more COtwo quantities.

Young forests do not buy this, especially since in developing countries no one usually tries to replant deforested forests. Rather, those areas are turned into agricultural land.

“The calculations show that we have very little time to maintain the same growth of human population, the rate of consumption of resources and especially forests. We have several decades left before the irreversible collapse of civilization, ”the study said.
