The man was immediately informed and is already in isolation. This person’s contacts have been transferred to the National Center for Public Health. Representatives of the responsible authorities have been informed of the identified case of coronavirus in accordance with all the rules, and the Center for Public Health is regularly consulted on follow-up.

“We feel a great responsibility to ensure the safety of Maxima employees. We believe that the preventive protection measures we have taken will help prevent the spread of COVID-19, but it is equally important that financial security is ensured in the event of illness. “We have covered our current and future employees with special coronavirus insurance. In case of COVID-19 infection and hospital treatment, current and recently employed people at Maxima will receive benefits,” reports E. Dapkienė.

To date, 459 Maxima employees have been screened for coronaviruses: 442 tests were negative and 14 were positive. Five employees have already recovered. Isolate due to contact with COVID-19 – ten. Three employee test responses are currently pending.
