“Consequently, if we do not wear masks or other facial protection from tomorrow, fines can be imposed not only on legal entities, but also on individuals,” he said.

According to her, according to the Code of Administrative Offenses, the Military Police, the Police, the Fire and Rescue Department, the Public Security Service, the Border Guard Service and the municipal administrations can impose fines.

Earlier Friday at a press conference, Health Minister Aurelijus Veryga said that the responsibility for non-compliance with the masks lies exclusively with companies or institutions.

“At a time when there is an emergency situation instead of a quarantine regime, that regulation is not established for a person, it is established for a certain place. The heads of companies and institutions must guarantee that people simply cannot enter these places without facial protection measures, “said the minister.

The masks are returned from Saturday in stores, airports, public transport, leisure and entertainment venues, state and municipal institutions, establishments and companies that provide services.

The Code of Administrative Offenses stipulates that between 500 and 1.5 thousand people are at risk of non-compliance with the mandatory instructions. fines, for legal persons – from 1.5 to 6 thousand. euro fines.

If the fine is paid within 15 calendar days, half of the minimum fine will apply.
