“Over the weekend, the specialists at the Records Center will continue the work of restoring the activities of the electronic health system. First, the data from the data backup store was restored on the server. These works were completed on Thursday morning. After that, the data will be imported into the Oracle database, ”said Mindaugas Samkus, a company representative, at BNS.

“After the completion of these jobs, testing will be done. Only after ensuring the integrity of the system and the accuracy of the data will it be possible to restore the system to function.” We are doing everything we can and hope that the system it can go back to work early next week, “he added.

According to the RC representative, the system recovery process takes time to ensure “maximum data security”.

“Due to the technological possibilities that exist today, faster data transfer and recovery to the system of this size (approximately 90 terabytes) is simply not possible,” said M. Samkus.

He also said that all data from other systems and information records had been restored in the middle of the week.

“They are provided to external users, all services are provided to customers. It is not ruled out that certain individual disturbances may still occur, so customers who have experienced temporary problems should kindly inform us of this,” said the RC representative.

After the rain in Vilnius, the server of the Registration Center filled up on Monday night due to a broken pipe. As a result, many of the systems managed by the institution have failed and eHealth systems have not been restored until now.
