Starting Monday, the countries affected by COVID-19 will be those with a morbidity rate of more than 16 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 14 days, the Ministry of Health (SAM) said on Friday.
“Therefore, the list of countries from which the isolation of Lithuanian and foreign citizens will be required for 14 days will increase. The morbidity rate is being reduced to coordinate the policy of opening borders with other Baltic countries and the European Union” , reads the report.
So far, countries with a COVID-19 incidence rate of more than 25 cases per 100,000 in the past 14 days have been considered affected. population.
Under current agreements, people from affected countries are subject to mandatory isolation for 14 days.
The list applies to residents of our country who return to Lithuania and to foreigners who have a permit to enter Lithuania.
Returnees or arrivals from countries on the list of affected countries are expected to register within 24 hours by sending their data to the National Center for Public Health (NVSC).
The list currently includes 64 countries, including Belarus, Bulgaria, Israel, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, Montenegro, Croatia, Sweden and others.
The Ministry recalls that, according to epidemiological indicators, the list of affected countries is updated every Friday and takes effect on Monday.
