SAM reminds that as of Monday (July 27), the affected countries will be considered countries with a morbidity rate of more than 16 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 14 days. The morbidity rate is being reduced to coordinate border opening policies with the other Baltic States and the European Union.
The incidence of coronavirus infection in Lithuania has increased from 2.8 to 3.7 during the week, but we remain on the list of reliable countries. This means that Lithuanian citizens, as before, can come from any country.
The list of countries most affected by coronavirus infection (COVID-19), which includes countries around the world, was also updated on Friday. Ukraine has also returned to the list: Lithuanians will have to isolate themselves again. The full list and rules can be found here.

List of countries most affected by coronavirus infection (COVID-19 disease)
The list of countries most affected by coronavirus infection (COVID-19) was updated on Friday and will take effect on Monday, July 27. From now on, the affected areas are considered countries where the incidence rate in the last 14 days exceeds 16 cases per 100,000. population.
Foreign citizens arriving from countries with a morbidity rate greater than 16 must be isolated for 14 days and, exceptionally, with authorization for arrivals from countries with a morbidity rate greater than 25, isolation and a coronavirus test are required. They must register by phone 1808 and follow the consultants’ instructions. They have to wait in isolation for the test response. The research is funded from the state budget.
Lithuanian citizens returning from countries where the morbidity rate exceeds 16 years must be isolated for 14 days.
Returnees or arrivals from countries on the list of affected countries are expected to register within 24 hours by sending their data to the National Center for Public Health (NVSC). This procedure is valid for both Lithuanian citizens returning from these countries and foreigners with an entry permit.
The list of the most affected countries is updated weekly, taking into account epidemiological indicators in foreign countries.
