As the performer’s solo concert had to be postponed to next year, Midsummer Vilnius became one of the few opportunities to hear the performer live this summer. Listeners had the opportunity to hear both the works of J. Jarutis, which have already become hits, and those that were played live for the first time.

“We really get a lot of attention from fans of the festival. Therefore, it is extremely gratifying that, despite the challenges we face this year, we can create a celebration for the city. We strive for everyone who wants to participate in it,” Valdas Petreikis, the festival’s director, said in a press release.

The festival takes place this year from July 20 to 24. Five nights will feature performances by Monika Liu, Justina Gringytė, Petras Geniušas, E. Nekrošius’s performance “The Book of Job” and “Opera Under the Stars”, the closing event of the festival, which will feature the opera soloist Edgar Montvidas with the orchestra and the conductor, maestro Modestas Pitrėnas.

Festival organizers recall that the number of visitors this year is very limited, and all recommendations from the World Health Organization and state institutions will be followed during the festival.
