Police caught a lazy person with coronavirus who had fled the hospital in Kaunas

The man was detained in the Lazdijai district, Straigiai village, sitting at a bus stop on the road.

Ausma Miškinienė, mayor of Lazdijai District, and Vidmantas Kondrackis, head of the Lazdijai District Police Commissioner, confirmed that a refugee with a dangerous illness had been detained.

According to the commissioner, citizens who had been driving on the road from Alytus to Lazdijai reported on the observed refugee.

Police officers are currently monitoring the detainee at the scene and waiting for an ambulance to arrive, which should take the person to a medical center in Abromiškės.

According to preliminary data, the man was traveling from Kaunas to Seirijus on a shuttle bus, which departed from the Kaunas bus station to Kapčiamiestis (Lazdijai district) at 1 p.m. 10 minutes. The man got off the bus in Lazdijai district, Seiriai city. Here he went to a local store, where vendors who recognized him called the general emergency number 112.

After leaving the “Ramunė” store in Seirijai, D. Armalis was transported by a passenger car to the Straigiai village, where he was released at the bus stop. Here, the man was detained by police.

The National Center for Public Health is seeking comment from those who may have transported a person with a dangerous illness on Thursday, as well as from those driving on the aforementioned bus route.
