The Ministry of Health (SAM) is urgently preparing recommendations for pharmacies on how to organize their sales until the disorders mentioned above are eliminated: a brief return to paper prescriptions or emergency access to a small amount of the required medicine, SAM said in a press release.
If patients can wait, they are asked to come buy or pick up medications the next day.
If the patient urgently needs medication and there is no chance to wait the next day, they plan to offer to see a doctor for a paper prescription. If the patient does not have a passport for reimbursable medications, the reimbursable medication or MPP may be prescribed on the prescription form for exceptional cases.
It should be noted that if a patient is provisionally entitled to a supplement (over 75 or low income), they will be entitled to claim compensation from the local health insurance fund once the premium has been paid at the time of the broadcast.
In the event that a patient urgently needs medication and there is no possibility of prescribing a paper prescription, a small quantity of prescription medications may be offered for purchase without a prescription. If it is not possible to ensure that the prescribed medication has been used by the patient before, pharmacists may contact the treating physician and ask them to confirm that the medication has actually been prescribed.
