766 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Lithuania per day. This is a new daily record. Information from the National Public Health Center (NVSC) indicates that two more people have died.

In Kaunas County, the death of a person who belonged to the age group 60-70 years and had other comorbidities was recorded. During the epidemiological diagnosis of the outbreak, it was established that the case is related to the outbreak of the Department of Neurosurgery of the Kaunas Clinics of LSMU.

On Monday, a report was received that a Telšiai County resident belonging to the 50-60 age group had died. The person had other comorbidities. The person may have been infected in the family.

Of the newly identified cases, 208 were confirmed in Vilnius county, 170 – in Klaipėda, 166 – in Kaunas, 112 – in Šiauliai, 60 – in Telšiai, 28 – in Panevėžys, 9 – in Marijampolė, 7 – in Tauragė, 4 – in Alytus, 2 – in Utena.

Of the 766 cases, 468 cases have not been investigated. Of the 298 cases investigated yesterday, the largest outbreaks were in Plungė d. sav. in a hospital outbreak where 17 cases were confirmed. 9 cases were confirmed in the Kuršėnai hospital outbreak. Additionally, 9 cases were confirmed in the Klaipeda Republican Hospital outbreak.

According to Monday’s data, 6,600 people in Lithuania are sick, 4,166 have recovered and 31,690 people are in isolation.

From June 1. 378 import cases were detected.

On Sunday, 3,261 samples were analyzed in Lithuania and a total of 954,962 samples have been analyzed since the start of the pandemic.

322 people are being treated for COVID-19 in Lithuanian hospitals, 31 of them in resuscitation, the Health Ministry announced on Monday.

According to her, 119 patients are being treated with oxygen masks and another 15 are undergoing artificial lung ventilation.

Of the nearly 17,100 beds in all hospitals, more than 10,000 are currently occupied. Resuscitation beds are occupied by just over half: 331 of the 651 existing.

Of the 590 beds with artificial pulmonary ventilation, 207 are occupied, of the 6,000 beds with oxygen occupied 1,700.
