4,608 samples were analyzed daily for suspected COVID-19 infection. The total number of currently confirmed cases in Lithuania is 1,763, and a total of 360,670 samples have been tested so far.
According to the National Laboratory of Public Health on Saturday morning, the disease caused by coronavirus infection in our country currently affects 262 people. Since then, 75 people have died and ten more have been killed by coronavirus due to other causes. 1,416 people expired and recovered from COVID-19 infection. There are currently 312 more people in isolation.
From June 1. 16 import cases were registered.
Currently, the highest incidence of coronavirus infection has been determined in eight municipalities: Vilnius district, Lazdijai, Ignalina, Vilnius city, Šalčininkai, Skuodas, Elektrėnai, Šakiai. As a result, they will do more preventive testing this week.
A person is considered healthy when two consecutive repeated tests for coronavirus infection at an interval of at least 24 hours are negative. Or 37 days after infection diagnosis, if for any reason subsequent tests are not tested for the virus. If a repeated test is positive, the GP will continue to monitor and treat the patient and will repeat the test no earlier than 14 days later.
The quarantine in our country was announced on March 16 and will be lifted on June 17.
