Another 2 cases are related to the outbreak at Šiauliai Republican Hospital (both people are employees). A total of 75 cases were involved: 28 staff members, 24 patients, and 23 secondary cases.
Cases related to the Joniškis Saulė Basic School Day Work Center also continue to be reported. On the last day, a secondary case was confirmed and a total of 18 cases of coronavirus were reported.

The circumstances of the infection in 37 people are unclear.
At this time, epidemiologists have not yet been able to determine how 37 people were infected. Epidemiological studies have shown that people did not travel abroad and did not interact with confirmed cases of COVID-19.
Specialists are examining the routes of these infections, so the statistics may still change if links are found between individual cases.
There are 3 more deaths from coronavirus in Lithuania
NVSC reports that information received from medical institutions about 3 deaths from coronavirus last day. The infection has now claimed 109 lives.
The first case of death was registered in Kaunas County. The person belonged to the 60 to 69 age group and suffered from chronic diseases. The coronavirus was confirmed in one person on October 6. The third case of death from coronavirus was registered in Šiauliai county. The person belonged to the age group 80-89, had chronic diseases.
