Three cases registered yesterday in Kaunas county are related to the outbreak in the Blinstrubiškės welfare home. All cases are secondary. A total of 106 cases of infection were associated with the outbreak: 43 workers, 54 residents and 9 secondary cases, that is, people from the immediate surroundings of the workers.
It is estimated that 2 cases of infection in Kaunas are related to the outbreak in the Department of Neurosurgery of the Kaunas Clinics. One person is a patient and the other is an employee. A total of 6 related cases were registered, of which 5 are patients and 1 employee.
In addition, 2 cases of COVID-19 are associated with the outbreak in the Department of Cardiology at Kaunas Hospital, LSMU. One of these individuals is a patient, the other is a secondary case. A total of 21 related cases were registered, of which 15 were personal, 3 patients and 3 secondary cases.
In addition, a new outbreak has been recorded in Kaunas County, associated with the Tulpė Sanitarium. Yesterday, the infection was confirmed in two people: an employee and a patient. So far a total of 3 related cases have been registered.
In Šiauliai county, 2 cases of COVID-19 were registered yesterday, related to the Center for Community Social Services of the Parish of Radviliškis. Both cases are secondary. A total of 7 related cases were confirmed: 3 employees and 4 secondary cases in families.
Furthermore, 2 cases in Šiauliai are related to the confectionery center of the Rimi store that operates in the Saulės miestas shopping center. One of these people is an employee, the other is a secondary case in the employee’s family. Currently 5 cases of contagion have been reported: 2 workers and 3 secondary cases in families.
During the last day, 1 case related to the Joniškis Saulė basic school day employment center was registered (a total of 17 related cases were registered: 13 students and 4 secondary cases in families), as well as 1 more case related to the day center Šiauliai “Goda”, where a total of 4 related illnesses were recorded (2 employees and 2 students, ie visitors to the center).
3 cases of contagion, registered yesterday in Klaipėda county, are related to UAB Danės pearls. Individuals are employees. An estimated 5 cases of COVID-19 are associated with the outbreak.
Yesterday a new outbreak was registered in Telšiai County: the coronavirus was confirmed in 4 employees of the Department of Supportive Treatment and Rehabilitation of the Plungė Municipal Hospital. Mandatory isolation was assigned to 12 employees. All 21 patients in the ward were tested for coronavirus infection and tested negative. A total of 5 cases of infection are associated with the outbreak; all individuals are workers.
The circumstances of infection in 35 people are unclear.
At this time, epidemiologists have not yet been able to determine how 35 people were infected. Epidemiological studies have shown that people did not travel abroad and did not interact with confirmed cases of COVID-19.
