Actress and Real housewives from Beverly Hills star Lisa Rinna has been happily married to actor Harry Hamlin for 23 years, but before the couple got together and had two children of their own, Hamlin had a son. Rinna rarely goes into detail about her husband’s past on the Bravo reality show, but on a trip to Rome with her costars, she opened up about his previous relationship with actress Ursula Andress.
While the ladies admired the architecture of the old Italian city, Rinna was reminded of her own home with Hamlin. During a trip around Rome, Rinna remarked, “I think this is the reason our house looks a bit like that, because Harry has lived here for three years and he loves it.”
When the others asked her why her husband was in Rome in the 70’s and 80’s, she threw everything about his past to Denise Richards, Sutton Stracke and Garcelle Beauvais, and explained Hamlin’s romance with his costume Ursula Andress. “He was with Ursula Andress at the time and they had a child, they lived here,” she explained. ‘They did Clash of the Titans all together.”
“Ursula is the movie star you can imagine,” Rinna said. ‘He said she called him and said,’ Harry, come to my room. ‘And so he did, at 28 years old, he went in and she got pregnant that night. And that was that, at 44. First time. ”
Hamlin and Andress were expecting their son, Dimitri Hamlin, in 1980 and stayed together for three years before splitting in 1983. ‘Love affairs and men can end, but a child is forever. Dimitri is my love now, ”Ursula told People at the time. Before he tied the knot with Rinna, the Mad Men actor was married to Laura Johnson from 1985-1989 and later, Nicollette Sheridan from 1991-1992.
Dimitri, who attended Princeton and received a philosophy degree, followed his parents’ careers and doubled in acting and modeling, but also worked as a DJ and wrote articles for the Huffington Post, according to Bravo. The 40-year-old is mostly out of the limelight today, and has yet to make an appearance RHOB.
