Lisa Boothe: ‘Hard to believe’ FBI agents did not try to harm Trump during the investigation in Russia

“It’s hard to believe that FBI agents did not try to harm President Trump,” Outnumbered Panelist Lisa Boothe said Friday in response to new developments in the probe of U.S. Attorney John Durham in the Connecticut probe into the origins of the Russian investigation.

‘It’s just significant, if you look at it [Justice Department Inspector General] “Investigating Michael Horowitz … and the fact that he found 17 errors in a mission that all go in the direction of then slashing candidate Donald Trump,” the Fox News participant added.

“Especially when they were using a file that was paid for by the other party, that the CIA had drawn up after a rumor on the internet and everyone knew that Christopher Steele had an animus against the then candidate Trump and did not want him to win,” went to Boothe. “That, it’s really hard to believe.”

EX-FBI LAWYER TO GUILTY PLEAD IN FIRST CRIMINAL CASE INFECTION OF DURHAM INVESTIGATION, SOURCES SAY

On Friday, two sources close to the case told Fox News that former FBI attorney Kevin Clinesmith will plead guilty to making a false statement in the first criminal case that emerged from the Durham investigation.

Clinesmith was referred for potential prosecution by Horowitz’s bureau, which conducted its own review of the Russia investigation.

Specifically, the Horowitz report accused Clinesmith, though not by name, of altering an email about former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page saying he was “no source” for another government agency. Page said he was a source for the CIA. The DOJ relied on that assertion because it submitted a third and final renewal application in 2017 to pull off Page under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.

Boothe also blamed former Vice President and presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden for “calling” the Logan Act, which was used as an impetus for the investigation into the ties of then-National Security Adviser Michael Flynn to Russia

“Everyone knows objectively that the Logan Act is a joke, because in more than 200 years no one has been prosecuted for it. It is completely, completely political, “she said.

“That, you ask yourself, do you want someone in power and at the helm of the United States of America? I do not, it’s terrible.”
