Lions’ Jeff Okudah surprises fans with his’ random thinking ‘

Detroit Lions rookie Jeff Okudah surprised some fans with “random thinking” on Sunday.

The former Ohio State standout, who was selected as the No. 3 pick in the NFL Draft 2020, told his fans that he had never attended an NFL game.

Many fans wondered how that could be possible.

But Okudah soon discovered that he was not alone.

Auburn Tigers defender Daniel Thomas also admitted that he had never been to an NFL game. Keith Byars, a former NFL fullback and tight end, also said he had never attended a game before playing the first time.

Okudah will no longer have to worry about that. He is sure to be a starter for the Lions next season.

He started all 14 games for the Buckeyes last season and came out with a first-team American honoree. As a junior, Okudah led the state of Ohio with three interceptions and nine passes defended. He was also a finalist for the Jim Thorpe Award.

In the examination combination, Okudah was measured with 32 5/8 inch arms and 9 1/8 inch hands. He ran a 4.48-yard 40-yard run, recorded 11 reps on the bench press and 41 inches on the vertical jump.

The Lions went 3-12-1 last season to win the third overall pick, making Okudah an attractive pick. He will immediately step in and contribute to a Lions high school, which ranked among the worst in the league.
