Lions D’Andre Swift second round pick signing

Field aid has officially arrived in Detroit.

D’Andre Swift tweeted an image of him signing his official contract with the Detroit Lions on Saturday, who used No. 35 overall to pick up the talented running back in the second round.

The Lions’ first-round pick, Ohio State cornerback Jeff Okudah, has yet to be signed, as have most league first-round picks. Okudah was third overall.

Swift enters the league after consecutive 1,000-yard seasons for Georgia, concluding his career there with 1,218 rushing yards and seven touchdowns in his third year.

The Lions, meanwhile, haven’t had a 1,000-yard run since Reggie Bush in 2013.

Last year’s highest running back was Kerryon Johnson, who had 403 yards in eight games, concluding his second season in Detroit early as he played in just 18 games in his first two years.

At least quickly it will add a change of pace, but it could well become the comeback leader.
