Lionel Messi has told Barcelona that he now wants to leave after the last humiliation of the Champions League.
According to Marcelo Bechler, the captain has really had enough after losing 8-2 to Bayern Munich in the Champions League and wants out.
Messi is frustrated with the way the club is run, Barca’s poor planning, and a source thinks they’ve never seen the captain like this before and are ready to stop.
There was a rumor earlier this season that Messi was full and thought to leave when his contract expires, but it seems that the Bayern thrashing has convinced him enough is enough.
There have been rumors about Manchester City and Inter wanting Messi after the defeat of Barcelona which has brought a fresh crisis to the club.
The club is set to have a board meeting on Monday, where it is expected that Quique Setien will be sacked, and perhaps this news is designed to put pressure on the board.
Of course, given the way the club was run recently, it can not be ruled out that Messi has really decided that is enough.
However, it is worth noting that even if Messi leaves now, he still has a contract with the club for another season and his purchase clause stands at € 700 million.
