Lin Q: Chinese gaming billionaire and Yuzu founder dies after suspected poisoning


Yuzu’s board of directors issued a statement on December 26 confirming the death of founder and chairman Lin Qin.

“The director, supervisors, senior management and all employees of the company express their deepest condolences on the demise of Mr. Lin Qi,” the statement said.

Lin’s accomplice – a 39-year-old man with the surname Xu – has been detained in Shanghai, officials said in a statement, adding that on December 17 they were warned of the first suspected poisoning.

Zune is “suspected of committing a major crime,” police said.

Two days before his death, Yuzu released a statement saying that Lin had been hospitalized due to “physical discomfort”, but was in stable condition and in recovery.
