Recently, Dark Sky for Android was taken from us, all because Apple has purchased the service for exclusive use on their own devices. The Dark Sky APIs that empower the whole thing and make it the hyperlocal awesomeness that it is, are alive for now. They are scheduled to close next year. Thanks to a bit of reverse engineering and hacking from an undisclosed developer, Dark Sky for Android has been reborn as Darker Sky, like a phoenix rising from the ashes.

What you need to know is this: Darker Sky has most of the original functionality of Dark Sky, at least, all free features. Paid features like instant notifications, widgets and weather report submission are not functional. Things you find in the free version of Dark Sky work great. These include forecasts, the radar, and the time machine.
Because Apple is known as something of a stickler when it comes to piracy and things like that, it does not tell how long this app will last. So, if you want to try Darker Sky, I would suggest you act fast.
