Libertarian presidential candidate Jo Jorgensen had to cancel a planned performance of the campaign rally for Saturday after being hit by a bat.
“I will not be able to attend the campaign rally tomorrow morning. I will receive a rabies vaccination as a precaution after I was bitten by a bat near the start of this tour,” Jorgensen tweeted Friday .
Jorgensen’s campaign wrote on Facebook that she would receive advice from her doctor on a rabies vaccine, although she later tweeted that she did not believe the bat was rabid.
The candidate indicated that she still planned to attend events for her campaign on Saturday afternoon in Mississippi.
