Singer-songwriter Liam Payne (formerly of One Direction celebrity) is engaged to his two-year-old girlfriend, Texan model and heiress Maya Henry.
According to the MailOnline, 26-year-old Liam proposed with a £ 3 million diamond ring, which Maya was spotted in London on Thursday night. A source present at Mayfair’s glamorous Novikov restaurant, where the couple enjoyed a romantic evening, told the newsroom that the 20-year-old is happily showing off the glittering engagement ring.

The couple’s news has just come to light publicly, as the proposal would have taken place during the closing. Forgetting rumors back in February that Liam and Maya were apart, a source described as being close to the couple told MailOnline at a time when they ‘were definitely still a couple and very happy together’. The friend added that the misunderstanding was fueled by the fact that the couple ‘had recently taken time off social media and enjoyed each other’s company away from the spotlight. ‘After a few months of going together without a public outing, Liam and Maya presented a united front again in June, appearing hand in hand to take part in the Black Lives Matter protests in London. As lockdown restrictions began to diminish, the couple were meanwhile spotted on a number of outings in London, such as restaurant meals and romantic walks.
Speculation that the two dates began in August 2018, after Liam broke up with Cheryl (formerly Cole). Liam and Cheryl first met when Cheryl was 24 and Liam 14, during his first X Factor after his subsequent success in the show as a member of One Direction, it is said that the two became romantically involved after the X Factor final in December 2015. They went public with their relationship in February 2016, welcoming a son, Bear, in March 2017, before splitting them in two after two and a half years together. They are said to have remained on good terms with their three-year-old son as co-parents.
Yet remarkably coincidentally, future couple Liam and Maya were first allowed to meet at a meet-and-greet event in 2015, back when Maya was a 15-year-old fan of One Direction. After meeting again three years later, the couple went public with their relationship in September 2019, with Liam telling Roman Kemp Capital breakfasts: ‘We’m pretty happy right now.’ Maya debuted the same month on Liam’s Instagram, when he shared a photo of the couple embracing it with the caption: ‘Sometimes I do not recognize this happy guy … sure glad you brought him back anyway.’ Thanks to his team amid the release of his new single, the singer added: ‘Then last but not least this @maya_henry to always keep the biggest smile on my face through all the stress and make me realize how perfect my life is real. ‘Maya replied in the remarks:’ So proud of you and so happy that we can be happy together. ‘
Opening about their relationship in an interview with MTV News in october 2019 Liam declared: ‘Honestly with love, I think you do not really understand it until it gives you that sting, it took me a long time … Something really hurt me and it made me kind of love and people appreciate a lot more, for the longest time, living such an exposed life made dating really hard. The 20-year-old had quite the gilded life even before her modeling career began, as the daughter of millionaire Texan lawyer Thomas J. Henry, who put his wealth on his own personal injury firm. His website describes him as’ a renowned legal lawyer who has practiced law for over 25 years’, representing ‘countless victims of catastrophic trucking and car accidents, over work accidents, medical abuses, and many other claims about the United States of America . ‘The heiress of her father’s fortune of millions of pounds, Maya became famous with a £ 4 million (Spanish coming of age) Quinceañera for her 15th birthday – complete with two custom designer dresses, some 400 guests, a six-tier cake and musical performances by Pitbull and Nick Jonas.
Still not happy to rest on her laurels, the ambitious young model once told Business Insider that she is striving for a human rights lawyer ‘like Amal Clooney’. A woman with many talents, Maya apparently excelled at algebra and played competitive tennis in her younger years. She also founded her own non-profit organization, Maya’s Corner, when she was a child. Her Facebook page states that ‘Maya’s Corner, founded in 2008 by Maya Henry, is committed to improving the lives of young people by caring for causes including education, hunger and poverty.’ The page documents Mayan ventures such as distributing school supplies and fundraising through a garage sale.
