LG’s screen swirling wing was the most interesting looking smartphone of 2020, but its unique design was captured by weak software software support. A new software software update for the Verizon-exclusive device today helps address those issues by adding some new dual-screen functionality.
Especially, Droid life Reports that the new update makes it much easier to send apps from a smaller display to the main (a process that used to hang some convoluted menus). To do this, with the “Restart” button, display one in another. You can also use a third finger gesture to accomplish the same task. After all, LG has added app names to the homescreen when the phone is rotated in the open, making it look more like a standard Android homescreen.
LG has also fixed one of the biggest pets about the second display, adding media control for all apps when viewing (instead of just a few favorite apps like YouTube.) Now, apps like Netflix will offer similar functionality.
The update also includes some additional features, including the ability to automatically scan QR codes in the My app, new wallpapers, matching 5G icons and November security patches.
If you have the LG Wing, you can check for software software updates in the Settings app and install the update now.
