Levi Wallace, Ed Oliver headline injury news from first day of padded practices

Buffalo Bills head coach McDermott met with the media on Monday morning to answer a number of questions before the team’s first refurbished practice of 2020. McDermott provided an update on which players would be out of practice on Monday – that included Levi Wallace, Ed Oliver, Tommy Sweeney and Jon Feliciano.

Wallace (sore back) and Oliver (sore hip) came as a bit of a surprise, but neither seems to be McDermott’s concern. Any missed time for Wallace is worth checking out, as the competition with Josh Norman for the starting position of the cornerback is one of the most important field goals of this training camp. If Wallace were to miss extended time, it could mean Norman is the choice to start against Tre’Davious White in the Week 1 game with the New York Jets.

Sweeney (PUP) and Feliciano (torn pectoral) were both expected, as their injuries were reported earlier this offseason.

LB Vosean Joseph and WR Isaiah Hodgins also wore red jerseys without contact today.
