LeBron James reacts to Bronny by calling Steph Curry his father

LeBron James Jr. (“Bronny”), the older son of Los Angeles Lakers star forward LeBron James, caused a stir online Thursday joking that Golden State Warriors star point guard Stephen Curry is his “father” .

James Sr., 35, heard about Bronny’s comment, responding on Instagram with laughter (via ESPN).

James and the Lakers are ramping up to compete in the NBA season restart in Orlando, Florida. The top seed in the Western Conference, the Lakers will begin their regular season finale games first with a clash with Staples Center rival Los Angeles Clippers on July 30.

James has a shot at winning his first title since he promised an NBA championship with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2016, while Bronny and the James family still lived in northeast Ohio.

Curry and James matched each other in four consecutive NBA Finals meetings in 2015-18, with the two-time MVP overall outperforming James and his Cavs in three of four series.
